Creating Non-Question Items

About: Non-question items include introduction pages, seen at the start of a test, information pages, which may be seen by candidates during a test, and finish pages, seen by the candidate after they have submitted completed their tests and submitted their responses. Non-question items will not have a mark assigned to them. This video will demonstrate how to create non-question items in Surpass.

Objective: By the end of this lesson, you will understand the difference between introduction, information, and finish pages and be able to create non-question items within a subject.

Next steps: Think about what might need to be included on an introduction or finish page and when information pages might be useful. You may then want to try to create an introduction page for your test. View the lesson on ‘Using the Items Column’ to discover how to manage and organise both question and non-question items in a subject.
