Test Forms: Creating and Editing Test Forms

About: This lesson will show you how to create and edit a test form in the Test Creation screen of Surpass. We will talk you through how to add specific items to the test form, how to create dynamic (rules-based) content and how to edit some useful settings, including test locking.

Before watching this video, please ensure that you have viewed the ‘About Tests and Test Forms’ lesson, which will give you a good introduction to how the concepts of tests and test forms fit together in Surpass.

Objective: By the end of this lesson you will be able to create a test form using the Test Creation screen of Surpass. You will be taken through the following steps:

  • Creating a Test Form
  • Adding Items to Tests
  • Using Fixed Sections to Add Specific Items
  • Using Dynamic Sections to Create Rules-Based Content
  • Generating Test Form Previews
  • Editing Existing Test Forms
  • Test Form Details

Next Steps: Practice adding fixed items to test forms, being sure to try out a few different search types, then add an extra, dynamic section and try creating a dynamic rule. Read the factsheets attached to this lesson on Search Criteria and Test Form Details, to find out more information.
